Experience the beauty of watercolour painting and create your own artwork – no prior experience needed!

In this adult beginner watercolour course, you’ll learn essential techniques such as wet-on-wet and wet-on-dry painting, colour mixing, layering washes, and basic brushwork. You’ll also explore texturing, masking, and blending methods to create depth and detail in your artwork. By the end of the course, you’ll be comfortable painting a variety of subjects and have a strong foundation in watercolour skills.

Please note this course is in 2 parts.
You will need to complete part one of the course in order take part in part two.

Watercolour Techniques
Brush Control & Stroke Practice
Painting Simple Objects & Shapes

Part 2:

About Kitty
The tutor, Kitty Skye McLeod, of Promising Artists, trained at Ravensbourne University London and the University of Gloucestershire. She has been teaching art and creative workshops with children and adults of all ages nationally since 2010. She has experience in delivering fine art drawing & painting, illustration, printmaking, animation and life drawing classes. Kitty runs a small art school in Cheltenham and art courses for the National Trust.
