Take the opportunity to have an early glimpse of our newest exhibition paired with an exclusive 6 course meal.Step into a carefully curated world of historic art as you become among the first to experience a redisplay of this landmark exhibition of the de Ferrières collection at the Wilson. It consists of 43 paintings gifted to Cheltenham in 1898 by Baron Charles de Ferrières\, a French-born philanthropist who settled in the town. His gift was transformative: it became one of the earliest and most substantial foundations of Cheltenham’s public art holdings\, helping to establish the town’s cultural identity at the turn of the 20th century. It represents a rare and focussed collection of continental art from this period\, featuring masters like Gerrit Dou\, Gabriel Metsu and Jan Steen\, alongside significant 19th century Belgian works – all of which have directly informed the menu thanks to the creativity of Head Chef Christopher Weight.You will indulge in a thoughtfully designed 6 course dining experience\, each course paired with exceptional wines to elevate every moment. DESCRIPTION:Whispers from Baba Yaga: Home Educator’s Drama WorkshopDesigned for home educators\, this workshop brings our Whispers on the Walls exhibition and the tale of Baba Yaga to life. Inspired by artist Douglas Kirkland’s drawings\, the rich folklore of Baba Yaga\, and objects from the museum’s handling collection\, families will explore characters\, emotions\, and narrative through playful drama and imaginative storytelling.All levels of experience and ability are welcome. Please wear clothes and shoes that you can comfortably move in.This workshop is designed for ages 7–12. Younger or older children are welcome if parents feel the session is suitable for their child’s level.Accompanying adults do not require a ticket but please note this is not a drop off session.Facilitated by Jennifer Taylor\, from Thrive Drama.
